An excellent and adventurous game developed by Radical entertainment and published by Activision in 2009. Prototype 1 follows the story of a man who is suffering from Amnesia and is known as Alex mercer and the game is set in New York City. Mercer finds himself with powerful shape-shifting abilities and has no memory of how he acquired them. The story revolves around quest to discover the fact about his past and the sources of his power as well as the Mysterious outbreak of virus infection that is ravaging the city. Prototype 1 involves deeply into the conspiracy in which he has to battle both the military forces and infected creature using his ability to survive and ultimately discovers his identity.
The main counter of the Prototype 1 game is super human abilities by which he can absorb the memories and physical form of those he consumes, effectively turning into a living weapon. This super ability allows Alex to disguise himself as other character enabling him to infiltrate without detection into enemy line. The open world of New York City environment is in the game where player can freely explore, interact and complete the mission.
The city is alive with NPC’S and the dynamic system ensure that the environment constantly reacts viral outbreak which is ongoing. The game is fast paced and highly customizable where players are allowed to upgrade ability to suit their play style. Players can make Alex a strong and formidable opponent against the enemies by unlocking devastating attack, enhanced movement capabilities and defensive power.
